Rabbi Yechiel Goldreich, the director of ATERES.CA, has a wealth of background in Rabbinic Services and Jewish Education. Raised in Toronto, Rabbi Goldreich attended Eitz Chaim and Ner Israel Yeshiva. Rabbi Goldreich received Rabbinical ordination from Yeshivas Bais Yisroel and the Jerusalem Beth Din. He has been a member of the Rabbinical Council of America and the Toronto Vaad Harabonim since 2002. Rabbi Goldreich received his Bachelors degree in History and his Masters in Jewish Education and Administration from Yeshiva University. He received a certificate in Advanced Counseling Skills from George Brown College

Rabbi Goldreich is an accomplished baal koreh (Torah reader) and baal tefilah (prayer leader) and has a keen comprehension of Jewish religious law and practice. He has been helping people through their lifecycle events, such as funerals, unveiings, baby namings, sick visits,weddings,pidyon habens, Bar-Bat Mitzvahs and circumcisions since 1996. Rabbi Goldreich grew up attending Congregation Bnai Torah and returned in 2005 to assist his own rabbi, Rabbi Raphael Marcus zt'l, through the later stages of a terminal illness.
Rabbi Goldreich has served as the assistant rabbi of Shaarei Shomayim Congregation and he has taught classes in Advanced Talmud at Yeshivat Or Chaim and the Yeshiva of Hamilton. He ran the daily prayer service for 100 seventh graders at Associated Hebrew Day School, and he has taught classes for special needs students at Shearim and Netivot Hatorah Day School. One of Rabbi Goldreich's proudest accomplishments in Jewish education was involvement in foundingTorah High, a supplementary program for public high school students.
Rabbi Goldreich enjoys writing and has often featured in the Rabbinic Reflections column of the Canadian Jewish News. Having a creative, tolerant, open, and insightful mind, Rabbi Goldreich possesses the unique skill of being able to chat with, teach, and relate to anyone and everyone willing to consider him a rabbi, teacher, or friend.
